Chepstow Bowling Club – Updated 20 September

Saturday 19 October – Windy today but pleasant. 2 Wood Pairs competition with 24 players won by Peter Pope & Neil Kennedy from Mary Shapland & Dave King. Great to see all obeying the rules on social distancing. Another competition programmed for next Saturday 26 September but it will depend on the weather, numbers and of course current corona guidelines. Feels like autumn is on its way in!

Season Extended. In order to maximise the opportunities for members to bowl, the CBC Executive committee has agreed to extend the season to Saturday 3rd October (weather permitting). Competitions will be held on Saturday 12th, 19th, 26th September & Sat 3rd October.Saturday 12 September

Since the green opened for members roll ups on 1st July, it has been used by over 30 members to get the cobwebs out of their system and enjoy the green and fresh air. All the required precautions and distancing measures have been enforced and members have respected that requirement. So if you are in any doubt and really would like to come down and have a roll up please be assured that your health and safety are our prime requisite. Please come down and join us. Rinks MUST be pre-booked and there are very detailed conditions of play. These are laid out in the Interim Rules Page and must be adhered to. Please ensure you read these before booking via the Interim Booking Page.

Individual roll ups only and at members own risk and members will be expected to sanitise all equipment used before and after use. 

Spectators. Members may attend roll ups as spectators to a maximum of 30 members total at any session. All CV19 and social distancing rules apply and please book in advance. Spectators need to log in with Sue before attending.

Membership

2020 Membership : Season membership fees are £60 for the season with a £20 joining fee for new members. For that you will get unlimited play when the green is not reserved for matches. For more details – see the Membership page here
